Project activity is ramping up here at Rooted Resilience!
We’re deep into interviews, planning for our spring event series (yes, it’s happening!), connecting with folks whose work resonates with our mission, and spending time in the editing room with our first batch of interviews.
One of the most striking things we’ve noticed in the interview room is the incredible generosity of those we’ve had the privilege to sit with. Their openness and willingness to share their stories have been nothing short of inspiring.
As we listen and work through these stories in the editing room, we’re finding something remarkable: these singular voices, each rooted in unique experiences of creativity and the arts, are being woven together by a shared narrative of persistent hope and a collective drive to continue dreaming.
We can’t wait to share these voices with you—voices that remind us of the power of connection, creativity, and the resilience it takes to dream beyond today’s challenges. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launching this work into the world.
What a day at Yet Another Queer Pop Up Market!
Luc represented Rooted Resilience while M was busy co-managing the market, navigating the crowd of over 700 attendees! 🎉 Those who visited our table were so generous with their energy, questions, and belief in the work we’re doing—it all meant the world. 🙌 From grabbing postcards and stickers to just taking a moment to connect, you made it an event to remember. It was a long day, but one that filled our hearts with joy. It was so wonderful meeting so many of you!
In the recording room with Isa Wang
Last week, we brought you behind the scenes of our recording process for a sneak preview of one of our guests - Isa Wang, artist and owner of Small Victories.
We’ll be sharing more as we work our way through material in the editing room and move closer to our launch in March 2025.
Heartfelt thanks to our project supporter, Luke
Meet Luke “Tt,” a therapist in private practice and a passionate supporter of Rooted Resilience.
Luke makes a monthly donation to our Substack (thank you, Luke!!) to help us grow and extend the reach of our work. In this video, Luke shares why he’s so driven to help build an archive that honors contemporary 2SLGBTQIA+ voices.
In these uncertain times, one thing is clear: amplifying creative voices is an act of resistance. We are the descendants our ancestors envisioned, and it’s up to us to honor their lives by sharing the impact art can have.
