There’s always something new blooming here at Rooted Resilience. Whether it’s putting the finishing touches on an upcoming interview (psssst Hannah Moushabeck, Palestian-American author and book-worker is coming to the pod in June!), co-creating space for in-person or online events, or dreaming big about Season 2, there is always something afoot. So take a moment to look below at what we have in store for you in this next month!
Save the Date For Our Next In-Person Gathering!!!
Gather with us at the queer-owned Two Mamas Farm in Cummington for our Summer Solstice Open Mic and Potluck Celebration! We will have just moved through the longest day of the year the week before and we invite you to bring offerings of food, poetry, music, performance, and whatever else inspires you that speaks to the theme: Rising in Resilience. The sun has shared its warmth, resilience, and strength during the Summer Solstice, and in response we’re inviting you to explore abundance, new beginnings, and courage - how are you and those around you rising in resilience?
We’ll be sharing more details via Bloom Local and here on the Rooted Resilience Substack in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
Ensure that 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC Creatives’ Stories Are Shared AND Celebrated Now and in Future Generations
You can now contribute easily to the preservation of our stories with a one-time or recurring donation towards our $6000 goal that directly feeds our local creative economy at a time that is even more critical to do so — these funds will cover artist honorariums, event and podcast production, and the tools we need to share these stories widely.
In a time when queer, trans, and intersectional creative voices are being erased from public narratives, you can help us to write, record and preserve history. Literally.
These dollars don’t just fund a project—they nourish a movement and strengthen our local creative economy. They make space for all queer and trans folks to see themselves reflected, rooted, and resilient and for our region to better understand their significant cultural contributions. Now’s the perfect time to help us keep growing.

Episode 3 — The Revolution Will Be Well Fed with Corrie Locke-Hardy
What happens when you blend radical joy, social justice, and a love of baking? In this episode of Rooted Resilience, we sit down with Corrie Locke-Hardy (she/they), the queer educator, activist, and author behind The Revolution Will Be Well Fed: Recipes for Creating Community
This is your reminder . . . if you haven’t had the chance to listen to Corrie Locke-Hardy’s podcast episode from May, NOW is the time. And if you missed that and also are curious about what kinds of things we talk about at the monthly deep listening community dialogues, here are a couple of opportunities for reflection:
In Corrie's interview she talks about how the things that brought her joy wove together her many interests and skills, and these same things also contributed to nourishing others and sustaining different ways of living into and being in this world - at the micro and macro. What do you see and feel that you are offering out into the world that is nourishing others at the micro and macro?
Part of what Corrie spoke about was that when she received the opportunity to create a cookbook, she wanted to do it exactly how she wanted to do it - no compromises, no holding back. Is there an area in your life that you want to take on this practice - doing it exactly how you want to do it with no compromises or holding back? A hobby? A relationship? Your career? How you parent or hold friendship? How you engage in movement work?
Intrigued by what you heard and curious about coming together with others to explore resilience, identity, and community as you define them through your unique creative and personal history? Register to join us virtually on July 23rd from 6:30 - 8:30 PM Eastern for our next Rooted Resilience Dialogue Circle.
