Rooted in Community, Rising in Resilience
Join Us in Building a Rooted & Resilient Archive of 2SLGBTQIA+ Creatives
In our hearts, the work of archiving the narratives of contemporary 2SLGBTQIA+ Creatives is the work of community. Together we root. And together we rise. Our connections to our 2025 Creatives was born of the intersections of our lives with theirs - whether it was through collaborations, reading their words in print, hearing their music come to life on the stage, watching them from afar as they grew their business, or some other magical moment of connection and creation.
It is not only these creatives who we are committed to bringing into this archive. It is all of the creatives in our communities that we can find our way to, even if only for a few minutes of shared reflection. And it is all of those in our communities whose lives are influenced and enriched by these creatives; those who want to build the bridge of understanding as to how the contemporary creatives in western Massachusetts have shaped and impacted the dynamic and rich culture we live in.
It is this knowing, these stories, and this web of connection that will root us all in community and help us to rise in resilience.
Join Us at YAQPUM’s December Market
On Saturday 12/7 from 12 PM - 7 PM Yet Another Queer Pop Up Market will fill the spaces at, in, and around the 50 Arrow Gallery in Eastworks with over 60+ 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC makers! And you won’t be sad for the opportunity to see the wares and creations of these amazing makers while also supporting hurricane relief efforts in the South and Appalachia!

Our Collective Stories Will Outlive Us - With Your Help
We’re all about ‘global generosity and celebrating the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.’ And so is GIVING Tuesday. Okay, okay, this is their tagline, not ours. But truly, who doesn’t want to be part of unleashing global generosity!!!! Especially for the benefit of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community!! Rooted Resilience will take part in this day (Tuesday, 12/3) as the next step in meeting (and exceeding!) our $2000 match requirement for the Mass Humanities Expand Massachusetts Stories Grant!!! This match must be met by December 26th to assure that we receive the remaining 60% of our funds from this grant.
There are so many places to offer your time, energy, and money now. We see that and feel that ourselves. Your gift (of even $5) means that our 2025 Creatives are paid for their time. It means that this archive has a solid foundation to find a home for future generations. It means that you believe in art as a form of resistance, and that you see, know, and celebrate the arts as part of our future, and as a necessity of our history. Will you and your community join us on Giving Tuesday?
