Turned Toward Possibility
More about the elements of this project and what to expect in the coming months
2025 Project Elements
Today, we want to clearly outline the three elements of this project — just two months away from our first episode release and celebration.
**Recorded conversations on queerness and creativity**
The Rooted Resilience podcast will center the stories of 2SLGBTQIA+ creatives living and working in Western Massachusetts. Our conversations so far have recorded stories of activism, entrepreneurship, and creative joy from folks across disciplines.
**Resources and material culture, curated by our guests**
Our blog will feature bonus content including additional resources, inspirations, images, music, and more — curated by each of the creatives we feature on the podcast. This content will be available across multiple platforms — we’ll share those as we get closer to launch!
**Special events where we root into ritual together**
Monthly events (some virtual, some in-person) will incorporate deep listening and community ritual for diving deep, nourishing ourselves, and sharing reflections. A calendar of events is coming in our next issue. We hope you mark your calendar to join us at our LAUNCH CELEBRATION on Wednesday, March 19th at BOMBYX Center for Arts & Equity in Florence, MA. More details coming soon!
Cultivating Hope & Gratitude
We keep our hearts turned towards the wonder and possibility inherent in this project—what we learn, who we meet, and all of the beautiful ways this work is supported.
MR: I sometimes wonder what it would be like to navigate 2025 without hearing the dynamic and unique stories of our creatives; as I’ve sat in interviews (and even been interviewed myself!) and listened to the recordings, my heart has pounded with joy at who WE (collectively as a community) are. And how we LIVE with the fullness of ourselves in each moment. I know as I descend further into this year, the medicine of producing and releasing these podcasts, celebrating, and sharing space for reflection, connection, and listening will only grow the strength of resilience within each of us and as a community. I am so thankful for those of you who I have met, and those who will join us along the way.
LA: We are here to witness one another in the generative act of living creative, unapologetically queer lives, and that is something precious that I will never take lightly for as long as there are people being oppressed for just that.
In the coming weeks and months, we will transition the majority of our communication around this project to these email newsletters, moving away from Meta platforms.
